Does iOS 7 require iTunes 11.1 ?

I'm sorry if this has been answered already. I searched and couldn't find anything absolute on this. I'm currently running iTunes 10.7 after trying, disliking,and "downgrading" from iTunes 11.0.5 . Does this mean the iPhone 5s & 5c 's are non-options for me? Thanks.

Yes iOS 7 will require iTunes 11.1

Sorta. only if you are going to use iTunes for syncing and backups. The iPhone does not "require" iTunes really anymore. So yes 11.1 required with iOS7 for syncing and backups to PC only. Otherwise not required. You can use iCloud instead for backups.

The GM release is .ipsw/iTunes only. There is s possibility that the general/public release will be OTA, but I’ve not seen anything to indicate it will/won't be officially.
