Hi can anybody advise me how i can jailbreak an iPhone 5 i bought on gumtree as it is currently locked to the vodafone network and i want to use it on the O2 network with giffgaff.

You don't want a jailbreak anyway. You're looking for an unlock. Jailbreaking won't provide you the ability to use other carriers.

You have no need to jailbreak it, what you are looking to do is unlock your device for use on other carriers.
