Wow... "very subtle" is an understatement.

True, but it does make a difference I think! The iOS 7 version almost seems to have no real "corner" at all--the transition is soft enough that the whole icon just feels smoother, even if it won't be noticed as being particularly different.

To my mind that's one of the things that Apple has always been so good at--making design seem natural enough that it disappears into the overall ease of use. We often prefer their designs without noticing exactly why. (Not that they can't get it wrong, and when they do, we DO notice.)

Anyway, I just like uncovering those tiny changes that seem to speak to such a dedication to details.

you are right, it makes the whole grib look "softer"

still not a fan of the new icons, look a bit naff in my opinion
