So I've decided to give the gmail app a try, and its not too bad.

I've located the notification sound file, using ifile, and changed it to my liking (stock notification sound was unnoticeable).

Does anyone who uses this app know where in ifile I can locate the VIBRATION SETTING so I can change that to something more noticeable?

Ok, maybe not gmail specifically, but does anyone know where the vibration pattern is stored for ANY incoming notification that can't be edited?

Mail, text, contacts, phone call, etc.. They all can be changed to a different vibration pattern in settings.

Games and other apps only vibrate once, very shortly.

Does anyone know where this plist is located, so I can just make that vibration a bit longer????

    Thanks all!!!!

Did you ever figure out how to lengthen the gmail app vibration?

I've tried a couple of tweaks. But, no success.
