iOS 6, the Savior of the 4S?

Will the 4S be able to do everything the 5 can? Essentially, the only difference between the two would be the iPhone 5's physical updates, such as design, processor, and front-facing camera?

I read a post in the iPhone 5 forum, I think, that said the 4S will have that feature with iOS 6. I don't know. They may have been misinformed.

i just checked on my 4s running ios6 GM you CANNOT take a photo while recording a movie.

Why can't you just take a screen shot while recording and just crop the photo?
