Alternative for adhesives during repair?

My iPod touches screen cracked and the metal housing is dented. I have the parts but I forgot to order the adhesives and was wondering if there was something I could get at walmart, radio shack, best buy, ect that would work rather then having to order it. Some kind of tape maybe? Or is it really that important to use the adhesive?

I would get the adhesive, they recommend.

I would recommend the 3m adhesive but in a pinch I have used super glue only prob with super glue is if screen has to be removed again it's going to be difficult
