I'm having trouble jailbreaking my iPhone 3GS without a sim card. I followed the directions here: http://www.imore.com/2011/12/01/unlock-iphone-3g-3gs-ios-5-501/ and lost service/wifi; so I was unable to complete the last step of installing ultrasn0w.
I tried deactivating RedSn0w and rebooting, but that didn't work. I then downloaded iExplorer; manually put ultrasn0w and mobile substrate onto the phone; and rebooted. But afterwards, the programs were not on the phone and I was unable to open Cydia.
Has anyone had this problem before, and can offer some advice? Here's some info on the phone:
Baseband: 05.16.05
Model: MC555
Software: iOS 5.0
