Downgrade 5.1 iPhone 4S

Is there any way do downgrade to 5.01 from 5.1

Put iphone in DFU mode, Shift & restore, select 5.0.1 firmware! Did mine last night, worked fine.

ive heard that once apple stops signing 5.0.1 then you wont be able to downgrade, but I THINK this is not true because of tiny umbrella, and other similar tools
just to be safe though, get back to 5.0.1 while its still being signed!!!!

I just tried to downgrade as directed above (DFU, shift & restore) but did not get the option to select a firmware ... iTunes said it will restore to the latest IOS. Any thoughts?

yeah, you are SOL since Apple is no longer signing 5.0.1 or lower

all you're gonna get is 5.1, assuming you have the 4S

Download the ipsw here iPhone, iPod, iPad and Firmware/Software Download and you have to restore manually. Mac, Hold down Option and click Restore. Windows, hold down Shift and click restore. Where ever you saved it, find it and it will ask you if you want to restore and click restore.

according to BLiNK they already did ... I tried and got "the iPhone 'name' could not be restored. This device is not eligible for the requested build".

I am assuming this indicates that apple is no longer "signing' 5.0.1.
