Hello all, I have a verizon iphone 4 that I have done a fresh restore of 5.0.1 on and using redsn0w 0.9.10b1. I put the phone into dfu and it says exploiting, uploading first stage then second stage, but then it just stays on the screen that says "please wait while we identify your build" and "waiting for reboot". My phone just reboots with no changes. I am on windows 7 and have tried running it in compatibility for xp and vista and I also have run as administrator checked. Any help or input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Log into Windows under the username/password of Administrator and try the jailbreak that way.

I know - it should not make a difference if your username is granted administrator rights... but hey, it's Windows, and sometimes Windows does stupid things like this...

First off, use redsn0w 0.9.10b.1d It wil auto identify 5.0.1.

Thanks for the replies but i figured it out! Lol such a noob at times, forgot to select the ipsw in extras! Now I'm jailbroken
