So yesterday I happened to open SemiTether and saw that my reboot wasn't protected anymore. I reapplied SemiTether and it's protected again but it made me wonder—what exactly does SemiTether do, and how/why does it sometimes come undone? For instance, does it come undone on a respring, etc.

yeah, it is a little unnerving seeing this: "Recheck periodically to make sure you are safe". every time i've checked i was safe/protected

but soon, hopefully, this will be a memory (for 5.0/5.0.1 users)

It's always worked fine, and the app does say to check once in awhile. Just not sure why it "turned off." That was the first time I'd seen it do that.

I was wondering this as well.. Every time I've checked it's in the green OK status but I keep getting paranoid and checking. Hopefully before I just get used to checking we won't have to worry about it anymore

Noticed today that it changed after I had been in Safe Mode. Hope that helps someone.
