How do I prevent my apps from syncing from iphone to ipad?

My ipad is JB, my iphone is not. How do I prevent the apps from being put on both devices? IE. I have SBSettings on my ipad (JB) but it also is now on my iphone, which is not JB. How do i prevent installing apps on one, from being synced to the other device?

In iTunes, in the apps tab with your phone plugged in, uncheck the box that says automatically sync new apps.

also check settings > store and make sure automatically download apps is off? however whats weird is sbsettings is a jailbroken application I didnt think you could install those apps on a non jailbroken device
