Battery issue still there after update

After the update I charged my phone to 100%. Went to bed and received 16 emails and two facebook notifications. Woke up 8.5 hours later and phone was at 20%. Not a very good fix.

Did you do a hard reset after the update had installed?

Holding the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously, ignore the slide to switch off and continue holding until the Apple logo appears.

Also, sometimes it takes a couple days to really get an impression of how the battery is functioning. Best to wait for a couple charge cycles to see how it's peforming.

this is only really true if the battery is new...




OP if you continue to have problems try restoring your phone as new..

I took the plunge and started from scratch with no backup. Of course I was careful to backup my saved games. So far, marginal improvement.

No issues with mine so far, but a woman that I work with who had poor battery life prior to doing the update said she still does.

I have seen improvement so far. I updated right when it got released yesterday and had my phone charge to 100% and as of today still have not charged and am @ 47% with 23 hours of standby and 3 hours & 27 min of usage. Before I would have had to charge every night before.

I haven't seen much .... I may go to apple today and get mine swapped, it'll suck but that's what I'm gonna have to do I'm afraid

it isn't better for me but worse.. went from 12 hrs to 7hrs. not good..
