Purchased a iphone 4g and need suggestions and tips on how to get on T-mobile

recently bought "Apple iPhone 4G - 16GB 4.3.5 Tethered Jailbreak" on ebay and need to get it working on t-mobile (basic functions and data) so just wanted to get helpful tips on what to do and what not to do (things like what versions of os to work with or instructions)
