gmail and @me.com email address

I upgraded to iOS5 and got a me.com email address.

When i go to mail accounts, the icloud is there and the mail switch is switched to on but i'm not able to see my me.com emails on my email application. I see only my gmail inbox. Is this something to do with becuase my apple ID is a gmail id?

I seem to have the same issue. I created @me account that is linked with a @gmail iCloud account. It shows up in my mail as a seperate account, but will not send or receive any mail. I did the same thing on my girlfriend's iPhone (she has @me and @gmail, same situation), but hers works. I'm not sure what the problem is

its wierd...i had a spare iphone lying around and i upgrade it ios5. I put in the icloud info account but this time using me @me.com address instead of gmail. I have the me.com mailbox but no mail would come through.

realpat...i think i might have fixed the problem. I just deleted my icloud account and then redid synced it using my apple ID(gmail) and now i'm able to check my me.com mail.
