Reminder App - Battery Killer?

I was just playing around with the Reminder app and set one based upon when I arrive at a specific location. Looks like it turns the GPS on (arrow on the top bar staryed on). I feel like that's going to kill the battery if it's always on until you reach the specific location you set your reminder too.

Thoughts?

I've been testing it during the beta period, and haven't noticed a significant increase in battery drain. I've had a location-based reminder running for 3 days now to ping me when I get to a location I'm having a meeting tomorrow on two iPhone 4 devices, one of my two iPhones has been off the charger for almost two days with the reminder running in the background, several calls, some light surfing, and in good coverage areas. YMMV.

I was wondering about this, too, when I heard about the location-based reminders. It would seem to me that something would have to be accessing GPS fairly frequently in order for the reminders to be any good, and then I would think that would hurt the battery.

But maybe it doesn't! It would be great if there's no real battery hit.

Please keep us posted!
