have jailbroken this phone using redsn0w_win_0.9.8b3 and seemsdone i think, opened cydia fine, tried to install an app, seemed to install fine but then had to reboot device(only option on screen) and iphone stuck on logo screen!! After finally managin to get pc to see iphone did full restore etc but now wondering if safe to try installin another app, dnt wanna go through full restore etc again or am i doing something wrong??

You need to rerun redsn0w every time you reboot.. Instead of check marking install cydia, check mark boot tethered now

Yes did that first time, but still went wrong

Not sure if doin something else wrong, managed to get an app installed but do you have to reboot device after everytime you install 1 through cydia?? so meanin you have to retether it each time??

Not every app requires a reboot, but for the ones that do, yes you need to tether each time. (That's why it's called a "tethered" jailbreak.) Most apps don't require a reboot, but a few of the big ones that people tend to install right after a jailbreak (Winterboard springs to mind) do require it.

One thing you can do to make it easier is to queue your Cydia apps so they load all at once instead of one at a time--after you press Install, press Continue Queuing and go back and do the same thing for the next app you want. When you have them all ready in the queue, you can THEN press Confirm to load them all at once. That way if you install three apps that require a reboot, you only have to reboot once.

You have to reboot tethered EACH TIME the device is some shutoff or rebooting or it will get stuck on apple logo

Always can use the thanks button ^^.
Hopefully a month or two after os 5 is released, they will have some sort of untethered or even a new unlock for us jailbreakers.
