I decided to upgrade my iPhone 4 to 4.2.8, which was the first post-JB upgrade I attempted. I made backups of my jailbroken apps with aptbackup and xbackup, did a final sync and then upgraded. After rejailbreaking and reinstalling the two programs, neither could restore my apps. I know that backup suggests that the backup can be saved outside of iTunes, but I didn't do that as I expected the backups to be available after restoring. I'm one very frustrated camper. Anyone know why the programs failed to work?
