Hi all new on this forum and new to the iphone. I have a 3g I manage to jailbreak and so far have no issues. I have now picked up a 3gs 16gb. but it's on a different carrier so i assume i need to jailbreak and unlock? I have reard a fair bit but still no 100% on how to do it so any help would be great.

Luckily I am already on the iClarified site so I will give you the links. They are posted here in tons of posts so reading through the first page is always a good idea just to get information on the process. If you go to the iClarified site you will see "Before you can follow these instructions you must have a jailbroken iPhone and you must be on the 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04, 06.15.00, or 01.59 baseband(modem firmware)." So your baseband is unlockable DO NOT UPGRADE THE PHONE THROUGH iTunes if you plan to keep it that way Your only choice for upgrading the firmware as an unlocker is Pwnage Tool(Mac) and Sn0wbreeze(Windows). Which OS are you on? if Windows which version? So go here for Jailbreak tutorials iClarified - Tutorials - iPhone, here also for the latest news and downloads of the tools Dev-Team Blog and here for Sn0wbreeze Sn0wBreeze | iPhoneHeat . You will need to JB your phone first then when it's JBen go here for the unlock tutorial iClarified - Tutorials - iPhone . The newest firmware 4.3.3 was just released which means they will or may have already stopped signing the 4.3.2 firmware. However I would say give it a shot JBing to 4.3.2 and then unlocking. If it doesn't work then if you're on a Mac luckily Pwnage Tool has already been updated to JB 4.3.3 but if you're on Windows you'll have to wait a bit until Sn0wbreeze is updated.

You are on Windows you need to use Sn0wbreeze go to the one I said here for the firmware and download the 4.3.2 for your phone. Then go to the one that says Sn0wbreeze here and go to the one at the top that says Sn0wbreeze and 4.3.2 and download the tool and follow the instructions. I'm bored your lucky lol

Apple might have stopped signing the 4.3.2 firmware so if you try and it doesn't work do the 4.3.3 Sn0wbreeze.
