Today's v1.2.3 ultrasn0w update goes along with PwnageTool and redsn0w updates for iOS 4.3.3 (compatibility only, no new BB support)
I think I'm finally going to bring my ipad up to date.
It's been a while since I have had to jailbreak a device and the times that I did, it was through jailbreakme.com.
I am currently on 4.3.1 that I believe was jailbroken with greenpoison. I bought the device from a friend who had already jailbroken it. I have the ipsw for 4.3.3 downloaded and redsn0w0.9.6rc15 ready to go.
My question is . . . do I need to update to 4.3.3 through iTunes before using the ipsw in redsn0w or can I run it on top of the 4.3.1 that I'm currently on.
im kind of confused...So i am running 4.3.2 untethered jailbreak and i did it through red Sn0w...and i read that 4.3.1 untethered Red sn0w will 4.3.3 . So does that mean i can download the official 4.3.3 on apple and my 4.3.2 untethered jailbreak will still work without me having to restore???
Just wondering... sorry for the silly question. Currently on 4.3.2 do I first need to update via iTunes to 4.3.3 or can I simply use redsn0w to do the update and jb for me all in one?
TIA
Can anybody report back on if there's any battery improvement on 4.3.3??
i originally went to 4.3.3 the day it was released and was not happy with the battery performance.. went back to 4.3.2--now i am back on 4.3.3 (giving it another shot) and jailbroken
i will report back to this thread after i make an assessment

My ipod touch 2G is on 4.2.1 Cydia 1.1.1 is that cool? Or is there some benefit for me to try to update? Should i stick with the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy?
