You could just use Activator to set a gesture to launch the camera app. That would be the best option for your battery.

Ajones, Snappy is a camera app that lets you quickly take pics without leaving the app you're in. Sort of like what bitesms quick reply/compose does for texting, Snappy does for photos. Cool app!

right, but then the camera app still make long photos. With snappy it takes 1 sec.

Well, you can't have it both ways...Snappy is faster in part because it uses those resources. But when I used Snappy I never had an issue with battery, so I'd say it's worth it if you can solve your crashing issue.
