You're kidding right? did you search at all? go to iClarified - Apple News and Tutorials and look in Tutorials, iPhone, Jailbreak it lists all the firmware and tools pick one for the firmware and phones you're looking for. Please search next time :p
That is no help at all. Please provide actual links.
Everytime I've JB 4.3 on iph4 cydia is white and wont work. And I have NEVER found anything that will JB 4.0.2 on a 3g yet.
search this:
Take careful note that they DONT list a JB for 4.0.2 for a 3g
Please search yourself when you answer please.
Thank you, however, when you click on the 3g 4.0.2 it brings you to this: "How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G 4.1 iOS with Redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta 5" LOL....that's because I don't think there is a JB for 3g on 4.0.2
And no surprise for the iph4, when you click on 4.3 jb, it brings you to "Jailbreak 4.3.1 using redsn0w"
*big smile*
Anyone else?
For the iPhone 4 I would use redsn0w

Look at the attached image in my earlier post. Here is just one link: Jailbreak iOS 4.0.2 with Redsn0w [How to Guide] | Redmond Pie
I've tried many times, doesnt work.
Downloaded it, have the firmware, doesn't work..... :)
Says it cant recognize the firmware.
All I can tell you at this point is that there must be some user error involved. If you want to try the ip4, here is the first Google result: Jailbreak 4.3 on Windows iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, iPod touch Using Sn0wbreeze 2.3 [Guide] | Redmond Pie
Good luck, I hope it all works out!
haha, well go ahead and download that redsn0w and that firmware and you tell me it doesnt give an error :)
Okay two questions: are you actually ON 4.0.2 before attempting this? And when you use that redsn0w, are you pointing it at a 4.0 FW like it says to do?
NO!! I didnt even notice that! No wonder this never worked for me, they made that one tricky lol....I'll try that and see what happens!
The only question I'm going to ask here is why those specific firmware? There are JB tools for 3G up to 4.2.1 and tools for the i4 on 4.3.1 & 4.3.2
