upgrading Cydia, will I loose unlock? new user

I have an iPhone 2g. and have Cydia. When I go to Cydia it shows the following below will install. Will I loose my unlocked status and need to redo it if i upgrade? I have a Cincinnati Bell Profile. Not sure how that was done, the guy I bought it from did it for me.

The only thing that will remove your unlock is to reload the firmware. The 2G is not able to load up firmware that has a baseband that is not unlockable anyway.
