Going crazy!

Hello, I am having trouble getting my 3gs to jailbreak. I have updated to 4.3.1 and have downloaded redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 and then I down load the IPSW from the link in the "how to" article but when I try and run redsn0w it says "unable to recognize specified IPSW" What am I doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

When it says that it means that the version of ipsw is not correct. Instead just go to either iClarified - Apple News and Tutorials and look in tutorials, iPhone, Jailbreak or Jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 | iPhoneHeat and find your method. You can also get the firmware here iClarified - iPhone - Where To Download iPhone Firmware Files From

In Windows, your firmware file is located in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates.
Make sure you select 4.3.1
