    Hi All

    I have just lost my 3Gs with software 4.0 Jailbroken.

    The insurance have said they will replace the phone but it will be a Iphone 4.

    Will my restore from itunes work with this phone considering it is jailbroken or would I need a 3Gs?

    Hope someone can help.

    The backup has nothing to very little to do with the firmware. Yes you can do a restore from your backup. There were millions of users at my workplace going from a 3G to iPhone 4 and they all restored from backup.
