I am trying to unlock an iphone 4 on iOS 4.1 with 02.10.04 baseband. I don't mind upgrading the OS, the unlock is the primary objective. The issue I'm having is that there is no sim in the phone, itunes isn't recognizing it, and I can't seem to find how to either upgrade to 4.2 or unlock on 4.1. Anyone have a good idea how to proceed? (currently using Windows Vista ultimate). Thanks for your help!
You can either JB 4.1 using a Windows tool and unlock go to iClarified - Apple News and Tutorials and look through the tutorials for which method works for 4.1 and then how to unlock once you've JBen the device. The other method is to use custom firmware for 4.2 made in pwnage tool. Then unlock after you load the custom firmware.
