Just an idea...if I plug my iphone into my PS3 via the USB on the front of it would I be able to get online with mywi on my iPhone 4? And can mywi only be used with my computer.

for example, can I use mywi via USB for my computer and let my wife use the wifi feature?

No. You can't but the ps3 has wifi so why wouldn't you just connect to it using wifi? It's not only for computers and idevices. Anything that has a wifi card can connect to it, computer, ps3, kindle, nook, etc...
