I am running an iPhone 4 with jb 4.1, I downloaded pdanet today to give it a try, the only thing I plan on using it for is connecting my kindle 3 wifi to it on occasion to download a book or news article if I'm traveling and don't have access to wifi. The only problem is my kindle will not connect to the hotspur that PDAnet creates. I've tried it with a password and without and both ways the kindle sees the created hot spot, but is unable to connect because it is identifying it as an ad-hoc or enterprise network.
I've done a little research around the interwebs, and I havent found anything on this issue. Any suggestions?

MyWi gives the same Ad-Hoc network. The developers have answered that they are looking into "proper" Wifi since August 2010.

I bought a Kindle WiFi too, thinking I could use MyWi to connect, but no luck.
For PC connectivity, MyWi can't be beat.. It's the reason I jailbreaked...

Check the Kindle hacking forums to see if there is a way to enable adhoc on it as well as infrastructure. I have a nook color, and that's what I had to do to get it to see the pda.net hotspot. Good luck.
