I see alot of people recommending this for sms replacemnt. I have tried it, and cant figure out how to use the emoji regularly. It converts alot of the emoji to regular :-) instead of for example. Is there a setting i overlooked? I really just like the popup reply notifications. Is there another app I can use for that instead?

go into the biteSMS app and select settings>smileys>emoji

make sure graphical smileys are in the ON position
