iOS 4.1 best way to JailBreak

You may have seen this in another forum but I put the wrong information down (is there a way to delete threads?)
Well I'm hearing different feedback.
I see that alot of people used limerain but I used pois0n rain,
Personally I don't see a difference.
(is there one?)
- what did you use?
- why?
Sadly due to an androidlock xt problem I was forced to restore from iOS 3.1.2. (which is the best iOS ever for jailbreaking)
To the crappy 4.1. iOS.
So now I've had to personally go into my system files (this is not recommended) and put in a small line of codes I made just to get a background for the homescreen.
The only good thing about this is I made it so I could have two different backgrounds. (one for the lockscreen and one for the homescreen) if you want the codes message me.
