This is driving me nuts. On a prior iOS 4.01 jailbreak (I'm now on 4.1) I had an app that would allow me to see the multi-tasking dock and launch apps from the lock screen. It also allowed me to quickly close all open apps to the right of an app in the list. Hope I'm describing this well. Anyone know what the name of the app is? I can't find it in Cydia.

Agreed. There's a great lockscreen remover available in Cydia that will do the trick quite nicely. Unless you're using things like LockInfo, I don't see the need for a lock screen, especially when you want all of your springboard icons available 'at a glance'.

I think the majority of people would still like the security--however small--of the lock screen, instead of bypassing it altogether.

I use SwitcherPlus as well. Lets you choose what apps pop up on the lockscreen after double clicking the home button
