    I ran the new Pwnage tool 4.1 on my iPhone 4 that still had 4.0. I ran easy mode. Does the tool keep your old baseband by default or did I need to do it in expert mode for that?

    Settings > General > About

    Scroll to the bottom to see your Modem Firmware (baseband) version.

    What does it say?

    You should be alright because iPhone 4 iOS 4.1 baseband is 02.10.04

    Okay, that's the old iPhone 4 baseband. You can unlock it with ultrasn0w.
