I checked but how do you know which bootrom you have?

farbod21: my modem firmware is 05.14.02, will that be a problem if I decide to use the limera1n jb?

I have that but how do I jailbreak to 4.1 and maintain that baseband? I know you have to use tiny umbrella but I don't want to upgrade to 4.1 and jailbreak until I know how to preserve this baseband for unlocking.

Isn't preserving your baseband only important if you want to unlock?

You use TU method as if you are restoring to 4.1. It does the rest.

So I save my SHSH, then upgrade to 4.1, then jailbreak correct? Also afterwords how can i get all my cydia apps back? do i just make a list of all of them? will it remember things that i paid for?

Make a list of your cydia apps... I just use screen grabs until I have a full list...

ran limera1n and it said completed iPhone still operates but doesn't seem any different? how will I know if jb was successful? Also does limerain install cydia?

No you will have to install cydia via the Limera1n icon.
