MMS on T-Mobile w/out data plan.

Can I send and receive MMS on T-Mobile without the data plan? T-Mobile says it won't work, but it seems that it's working for others. I installed the iPhone guide thru Cydia and have the camera Icon on a 2G running 3.1.2. MMS sending fails after getting to 90% completed

To my understanding, MMS is send over data not voice like a text. So no, it won't work.

It worked for me when I had T-Mobile with my 3GS. I only paid for calling and a text plan (which covered MMS), and was able to send MMS no problem. No data charges on my bill.
