Back up of Iphone does not have any data collected while on normal ios4

I recently just went back to ios 3.1.2 and worked my way back up to a jailbroken Iphone 3gs with ios 4. But it doing so all of the information that i had collected up to July 18th is missing and my restore date is now back to June 30th. i was wondering if there was a way to find all of that data?

How did you jailbreak your device? I'm pretty sure all the current solutions for jailbreaking iOS4 require you to restore as a new phone and lose previous data. If you restore from backup you will lose your jailbreak.

So how did you go about doing a restore from backup?

I just did the normal plug the iphone and let itunes sync/backup the device right before i carried out the jailbreaking stuff.

You'll be happier just setting it up as new.

Each time i took it to 4.0 and restored, it was slow to actualy sync etc. Once i told it new, and resync'd all my stuff it was snappy as hell
