iphone 3g iOS4 unlock not working please help

ok i jail broke my iphone 3g from 3.1.2 to iOS4 using redsn0w and went into cydia and downloaded ultrasn0w and it seems like it worked because it shows that i have t-mobile with full signal and Edge but when i try to connect to the the internet via Edge it will not work. please help. :(

I believe you would need an internet plan because im in the same situation but apparently there is no way around this unless you get the (i think) $19.99 per month plan. The tzones $5 per month does not work anymore because i dont they offer tzones or whatever for $5.00.

Go to Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network

In the APN spot under Cellular Data, put either
wap.voicestream.com
or
internet2.voicestream.com (I use this one)

*Leave Username and Password Blank*


When you unlock it, it only allows you to make calls and send SMS through T-Mobile, the web has to be set-up manually. Both of the above proxys are T-Mobile.

In the APN spot under Cellular Data, put either
wap.voicestream.com
or
internet2.voicestream.com (I use this one)

*Leave Username and Password Blank*

internet2 is if you have a vpn plan. wap.voicestream is old and for mms lol

They use epc.tmobile.com now

ok i went network and i don't see APN but i do see VPN?
