How do I know if my iPhone has been previously pwned?

I searched the forums and other websites already and unless I missed it, I couldn't find anything.

I'm trying to upgrade my already jailbroken and unlocked 3.0.1 3Gs to a 3.1.3 using a custom firmware but many tutorials say that my iPhone needs to be pwned before I can install custom firmwares. How do I find out of my phone has been pwned before? And if it isn't how do i pwn my phone for windows? A response would be nice, thanks.

You're jailbroken. Any jailbreak prior to 3.1.2 = PWNED.

Use sn0wbreeze to create a custom firmware and you can go up to 4.0 if you want.

thanks for the reply big9erfan, i've looked into sn0wbreeze earlier and it says non-mc models only, but it just so happens that my 3Gs model is an MC model, is it still safe to use sn0wbreeze?
