using redsnow for unlocked 5.11.07

alright first of all i did search but the more i read about it got more confusing....

im sorry for asking this but....

if i unlocked my iphone 3g using blackra1n...can i jb the 4.0 using the redsnow jailbreak and still have my baseband of 5.11.07???

and if so...how can i keep it unlocked?
