    Hey guys I know this is probably repititive but I'm wondering if this can be unlocked. I know for sure that 3gs's can't be unlocked yet with the new firmware but how about 2g's with this particular modem firmware? Thanks!

    Yes it can.

    Upgrade to stock Apple 3.1.3, use redsn0w 0.94, download the official 3.1.2 firmware, then jailbreak. After that, use BootNeuter to unlock.

    Thanks for the reply. I'm already on 3.1.3. Should I still do an upgrade thru iTunes? Also, I forgot to mention that I'm on a windows pc

    Also, will this work on 3gs too or is it only specific to 2gs?

    The method I mentioned will only specifically work on the 2G.

    Did you upgrade to 3.1.3 through iTunes? If you did, then you can just go ahead and use redsn0w 0.94. Jay do a quick google search for "jailbreak iPhone 2g on 3.1.3" and it should give you all the details you need.
