    Okay what I have here is a IPHONE 3G launch model (MB) serries
    I'm running firmware 3.1 (7C144)
    with modem 05.11.07

    Will this run properly or just mess up my phone?

    Blackra1n will only work on 3.1.2 - you didn't mention which 3.1 you're on.

    I'm running 3.1 that's my firmware not running 3.1.2

    Is there a file for a 3.1.2 firmware update doing it manually (shift and restore) without losing everything on my iPhone?
