Hi folks, im pretty new to this so please be gentle!

I recently jailbroke my iphone 3gs 3.1.2 and have downloaded a couple of apps to play simpsons, family guy and robot chicken videos.

The apps load ok and I get the option to play in media player or download, but it appears the buttons cant be preseed (there is no response when I try to do so). Im just wondering if I need a separate media player downloaded to play these videos or if there is something I have missed? I can play video in my youtube app fine.

Any help would be brilliant as im getting frustrated now!

jailbreak apps have no quality control or anything forcing them to actually work.

I'd try contacting the developer of the specific app

It all depends on the format of the videos. The iPhone can only play a very few types.
