Jailbreak 3g 3.1.3

Question. Is there a true jailbreak yet for 3.1.3 (because I was a moron an updated by accident) without downgrading to 3.1.2 first? I am on a PC by the way. Also, when I re-jailbreak will I have to download everything again??

I don't care about unlocking, I just want to jailbreak. Please HELP! I have restored my phone about 4 times already today and it's just getting annoying!

No, there is no true jailbreak. By 'true jailbreak', I assume that you mean something like blackra1n, where you just click a button and out-of-the-box, it "just works". There ARE jailbreaks using PwnageTool on the Mac, but thats only if you're currently still on 3.1.2 (and jailbroken) BEFORE you use those tools to jailbreak.

Simple answer: No.

With the release of the 3.2 SDK today, that means that 3.2 is going to be released right around the corner, and many jailbreakers will be waiting for THAT OS to be released before they unleash any jailbreaking tools.

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Hmmmmm I'm wondering if I should wait it out or try to downgrade to 3.1.2? I also haven't seen anything consistent on how to do that. I might just TRY to stick with stock 3.1.3. . . . this could take some getting used to.

yeah, there's a *true* jailbreak for 3.1.3 out now from the Dev-Team...its only for Macs right now tho.

i used redsnow 0.9.4 for windows from the dev team. I did the 3.1.3 update and then downloaded the 3.1.2 firmware and pointed the redsnow at the 3.1.2 and did the jailbreak. my phone shows ver 3.1.3.Then choose to install cydia.I didnt need the unlock. Just the jailbreak.

I updated, officially, to 3.1.3 through iTunes. I cannot find a single good link to the redsn0w 0.9.4 file, everyone says "403 Forbidden. . . ". I tried the sn0wbreeze one but it didn't work.

My son is attempting to use redsnow now to jailbreak my phone as well. Will this also unlock my phone?

@blackbrd13: just wondering how it works. you can't just simply downgrading a phone that is already upgraded. your phone will surely break. but if you do kindly sent me the site if you have. thank you.

The redsnow jailbreak works with the 3.1.3 on 3g iphones but it doesnt unlock them to use on other carriers. As far as I know there is not a jailbreak for the 3gs running 3.1.3. If you just need the jailbreak and not the unlock then it will work. if you are on 3.1.3 and running 3g and need the unlock then you will have to wait till a jailbreak is released for that.
