Downgrade 3GS 3.1.2 to 3.0?

Is there any way I can downgrade my 3GS 3.1.2 to 3.0? If so how? I have jailbroken it but I find it annoying having to connect it my computer after reboot.

they have OS' that are already jailbroken when u install them....google it.

Well I searched but couldn't find anything. But anyway there has to be another way?

It's not the firmware that requires you to have a tethered jailbreak, it's the bootloader and that's not flashed with firmware upgrades. Even if you could go back to 3.0, you'd still have a tethered jailbreak.

I have a friend who has an iPod 2G with 3.1.2 firmware. Can I downgrade his firmware to 3.0?

Well, as the iPod Touch doesn't have the modem to worry about you can probably downgrade that easier using something like pwnage tool, but why would you want to do that instead of just using Blackra1n? The iPod Touch 2G isn't a tethered jailbreak.
