when i press let it rain on blackra1n, my computer opens up itunes and says this iphone must be restored bla bla bla, what am i doing wrong ?

Try unchecking the option to launch iTunes when an iPhone/iPod is connected.

You could also try just ejecting it from iTunes using the eject option next to the phone icon in iTunes.

humm, maybe they got rid of the option.
First, close iTunes

Open up your Task Manager and kill processes like
AppleMobileDeviceHelper
AppleMobileDeviceService
iTunesHelper

You have to use blackra1n with iTunes off. it won't work otherwise.

I have a 3GS. Have "let it rain" with iTunes open and closed. If it's closed, it always opens in the process. I just ignore it. It doesn't seem to make any difference. I seem to recall reading that keeping iTunes closed was only an issue on the 3G/2G models (if that helps).
