Help needed for my girlfriends iphone

Hi, before I get flammed I just wanted to say I'm posting this quick because my girlfriend is going nuts.

I'm a blackberry user, so I just made an account here on the iphone blog real quick to try and help her out with you iphone pros.

She has tmobile and her friend got her an unlocked iphone? So she has the tmobile sim card in her iphone I believe. I tried updating her iphone to 3.0 with itunes and now she can't even use her iphone anymore. It says "sim card not recognized"

I feel terrible because I hope I didn't screw up her iphone.

I didn't have time to search, but i'm looking as we speak. I was hoping you guys could send me a link, or direct me to the right page that might be able to help her out.

Did you just update it? If so its probably 3.1.2 and you can use blackra1n to jailbreak and unlock it.

Just use blackra1n

Restore the iPhone and then run Blackra1n. Install Cydia and Snow from Blackra1n and away you go, you haven't buggered it up. Tell her you are the daddy as you have now fixed it
