No u should b fine if u use Blackra1n.
The jailbreak works for any iPhone and iPod Touch.

i thought i read somewhere that I would have to JB after every sync or tether-jailbreak or some stuff like that

If you have an touch 3rd gen, if the battery dies, or if you reboot the phone, u have to connect the iPod to your computer and run blackra1n again. U don't loose any settings or anything. And it only takes about 30 secs. Can be a pain at times though, but still love it 
