3G unlocked w/Tmobile, want to upgrade to 3.1

I about had a nervous breakdown with the 3.0 upgrade on my unlocked iPhone, so I need to gather thoughts....

I have a 3G that I brought back from Canada. It was unlocked but during the last upgrade it somehow bricked itself back up. So, I found a guy to unlock it, install 3.0 and firmware 04.26.08.

With this firmware, can I do the upgrade to 3.1??? And how would I do it??

You'll lose your jailbreak/unlock by upgrading. Stay with 3.0 for now.

Ok, will do. I heard somewhere that if you have the right firmware you'll be ok, but I want to be sure.
