Can someone please confirm a setting for me?

Hello all, I have just used redsnow to unlock/jailbreak my 2g running 3.0 software.

If I go into settings / general / about - the carrier still shows AT&T 4.0 - is this an accurate representation of the phone being unlocked? I don't want to sell the phone stating it's unlocked and ready for another sim if it's truly not.
