Hello Ghecko,

You closed my thread and pointed me to a bunch of links that detail jailbreaking!

I specifically asked if anybody could help me upgrading my jailbroken 2.1 iPhone to 2.2 whilst maintaing all data/apps etc...

The links provided by you didn't help as they all assume you have a clean install of the latest OS...

I want to know how to back everything up and upgrade (While ALREADY being jailbroken)...

Hope you can help...

Thanks,

Wiggy

That's not a very good post title, totally doesn't help anyone understand what your question is. Did you check through any of the previous threads? Did you search?

AFAIK, you have to restore to re-jailbreak under new firmware, which wipes your iPhone. You can then reload based on a backup, but I've always found this leads to a much buggier, more frustrating experience.

I always follow BadAsh's Law -- clean install for each new firmware.

[Editing title now...]

Thanks for your help Rene,

I was hoping that wasn't the only advice I'd have at the moment :(

With that in mind I'm willing to do a full restore, upgrade then jailbreak.
I shall start looking for how to's to backup all my data before i do all of that... hope it works.

Thanks.
