Carrier change question

If i change my carrier for At&t to t-mobile could i unlock it to work on t-mobile even tho i have 2.2 jailbroken Iphone?

its not a 3g its a first gen would that make a difference?

Yes. You would need to use your pwnage program and get a couple files and then let it go through the process and then you're done.
