Gifting old iPhone6; how to downgrade to GM?

Hey guys, I just got the 6S+ and I'm gifting my iphone6 to a family member. They aren't tech savvy and wouldn't use the beta programs. I don't want to leave it on iOS 9.1 and have the beta run out without an update or have bugs or anything.

Recently wiped the phone, but I assume it will reboot on the beta OS. Any way to restore the device to the current GM 9.0.2 or something I believe and set it up as a new device?

Put it into DFU mode, connect to iTunes and restore should download the latest public release.
